Invitation to the European Angus Forum 10-16 July 2020 in Germany

Dear Angus friends,

the Federal Association of German Angus Breeders (BDAH) will celebrate its 65th anniversary next year. Therefore, it is a special honour for us to host the European Angus Forum from 10 to 16 July 2020 and to welcome the European Angus family to Germany.

In Germany, up to 40,000 suckler cows belong to the Angus breed. 9,700 Angus herdbook cows are kept in 531 breeding farms in Germany. 16% of all pedigree beef cattle in Germany are Angus. By number, Angus ranks third position of beef cattle breeds.

Of course, it is impossible to visit all regions of Germany in a few days. That’s why, we concentrated our tour programme for the European Angus forum on the North of Germany with the federal states of Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg and the capital Berlin. During the programme we will have the opportunity to visit many interesting Angus farms, the 25th Lower Saxony State Beef Cattle Show at the Agricultural exhibition in Tarmstedt as well as to see Angus breeding cattle from other regions of Germany in a small special Angus Show "German Top Genetics" at the Oelkers farm.

We cordially invite you to the European Angus Forum in Germany and look forward to an interesting program, a successful general meeting of the European Angus Secretariat, many productive breeder conversations and discussions and an even closer cooperation of all European Angus breeders in the future.
